UV DTF transfers are designed for hard surfaces only and require no heat. Follow these steps carefully to achieve a smooth, long-lasting finish.

What You Need

  • UV DTF Transfer (with clear carrier sheet)
  • Clean, dry surface
  • Squeegee or firm card (recommended)

Surface Compatibility

UV DTF works best on smooth, hard surfaces such as:

  • Glass
  • Plastic
  • Metal
  • Acrylic
  • Wood (sealed/smooth)
  • Tumblers & drinkware

⚠️ Not recommended for:

  • Fabric
  • Silicone
  • Textured or rough surfaces

Step-by-Step Application

1. Clean the Surface

  • Wipe the surface with alcohol or a clean cloth
  • Remove dust, oil, or moisture

👉 This step is critical for proper adhesion.

2. Peel the Backing

  • Carefully peel the white backing away from the design
  • The design should remain on the clear carrier sheet

3. Position the Design

  • Place the transfer onto your surface
  • Align carefully before pressing

⚠️ Once applied, it cannot be repositioned.

4. Apply Pressure

  • Use a squeegee or firm card
  • Press from the center outward to remove air bubbles

👉 Apply even, firm pressure across the entire design.

5. Peel the Carrier Sheet

  • Slowly peel off the clear top film
  • Peel at a slight angle

👉 If any part lifts, press again and re-peel slowly.

Curing & Handling

  • Allow the design to set for 24 hours before heavy use
  • Adhesion strengthens over time

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash only (for drinkware)
  • Avoid soaking for long periods
  • Do not scrub aggressively
  • Not dishwasher safe (unless specified)

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ❌ Applying to dirty or oily surfaces
  • ❌ Rushing placement (cannot reposition)
  • ❌ Skipping pressure step
  • ❌ Applying on textured surfaces
  • ❌ Peeling too fast

Pro Tips for Best Results

  • Work in a clean, dry environment
  • Use strong, even pressure
  • Apply slowly and carefully
  • Practice on a test surface if needed
